The BigstuffTPM GEN4 Data Analysis app keeps your data on your phone. We do not collect, receive, sell or share any of it. The app has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.
Who we are
The app is made by BigStuffEFI Inc., doing business as BigStuffTPM (“BigStuff”, “we”, “us”). It shows live gauges from a BigStuff Gen4 engine control unit (ECU), records data logs and plays them back. This policy covers the app on Android and iPhone.
What the app uses on your phone, and why
The app asks for these permissions. Everything they produce stays on your phone.
Permission
When it is used
What happens to it
Wi-Fi and network
Always, to find and read your BigStuff ECU on the local Wi-Fi network
The app talks to the ECU and, only while Get logs from laptop is open, receives log files from a computer on the same Wi-Fi. It does not send anything to the internet.
Files you open in the app
Only when you share a log to the app from another app (for example email, Google Drive or My Files), pick one with Open a log, or send one from a laptop
The app copies that log into its own storage on your phone. It reads only the files you choose.
Location (GPS)
Only if you turn on Use GPS speed in Settings, or open a phone tool that shows speed (GPS speed, Record a run, GPS timer)
The app uses it to work out vehicle speed and distance. Only speed and distance are saved in your logs, not where you are.
Motion sensor
While the G-meter is open or a phone-only run is recording
The app uses it to measure acceleration, braking and cornering in g. The readings are saved only in that run’s log.
Camera and microphone
Only if you turn on video for a log or a run, while it is recording
The video and its sound are saved next to the log on your phone.
Keep screen on
While the dashboard or a phone tool is open
Stops the screen sleeping. It stores nothing.
What the app saves: your data logs (engine readings, the ECU serial number, and GPS speed if used), logs you bring in from a laptop or another app, phone-only runs (speed, distance and g), any videos, the notes and checklist you type, and your settings and layouts. They are kept in the app’s own storage on your phone.
You can turn location, motion, camera and microphone access off at any time in the app’s Settings or your phone’s settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
What we do not do
We do not collect your data. Nothing the app records is sent to us or to anyone else.
We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
We do not show ads or use an advertising ID.
We do not use analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services.
We do not sell, rent or trade any information.
We do not have access to the logs, videos or notes on your phone.
Sharing you choose
You can save logs, videos and notes to your phone’s Downloads folder, or share them with the share button, for example by email or to a tuning program. That happens only when you tap it, and goes only where you send it. Once a file leaves the app, the service you send it to handles it under its own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Delete a log in the app and its video and notes go with it. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. Copies you saved to Downloads or shared stay where you put them.
Children
The app is meant for adults who tune and drive vehicles. It is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
Security
Your data stays in the app’s private storage on your phone, protected by your phone’s own lock and security. The app’s connections to the ECU and to your laptop stay on your local Wi-Fi network. Receiving logs from a laptop needs the code shown on the phone, and stops as soon as you leave that screen.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its effective date before that version of the app is released.
