BigStuff is a Southeast Michigan-based company focused on the design, manufacture, and marketing of state-of-the-art electronic engine and power train controllers for the performance aftermarket. BigStuff is proud to be one of the last USA based ECU systems in the aftermarket. We utilize only USA based manufacturers from our ECU’s, Injector Drivers, Dashes and Wire Harnesses. We will whenever possible keep our American companies working rather than send our money overseas.
Our founder John Meaney has often been referred to as the grandfather of the aftermarket fuel injection industry. From his early days at Bosch to starting his own companies, John’s influence in this industry is easily recognized and the numerous products he has designed in the last 25 years. With not only a hardware and software engineering background our team has numerous wins, championships, and records in all forms of motorsports.
Our current GEN4 offering has hit the aftermarket and we are getting rave reviews from our customers. The GEN4 ECU started as a blank slate on how we could best serve our current GEN3 ECU customers while also bringing the latest state of the art technology to the aftermarket. The GEN4 ECU is designed to drop right in place of the current GEN3 ECU which makes the swap to the newest technology on the market so simple.
The GEN4 ECU features the following:
- Dual Core 32-Bit Processor @ 260MHz (With a core for just running the engine and one running the datalogger its processing power is FAST!)
- 100Mb Ethernet Port for laptop and expansion module communication (True WiFi!)
- 400-500 available channels to datalog 500Hz for up to 15 minutes
- Built on OEM technology for the most robust hardware on the market with strict in house testing before any software is released to not have any “bugs” in the code
- Built-in SD card will permanently hold all of your crucial run data
- On-board baro pressure sensor and 3-Axis Accelerometer and Gyro (Less expansion modules!)
- Multiple 24×24 Fuel Spark and Lambda Tables with tables by gear or time. (More detailed resolution of fuel and timing per gear!)

About Ben DAVIDOW, BigStuff Owner
20+ Years of Tuning High-Performance EFI Systems
With over 20 years of EFI tuning experience, Ben Davidow started out by working with very talented West Coast racers such as Todd Chiamparino and Norman Chang. Over the years, Ben helped his customers to win multiple championships and set many class records on the West Coast, and achieved great success with his own shop car.
Ben started working with John Meaney, Joe Meaney, and the rest of the BigStuff3 team, a company that helped start a revolution in aftermarket fuel injection in the United States, in 2018. Ben helped take part in the design, testing, engineering, and technical support for the new BisgStuff Gen4 Pro Xtreme hardware. Working directly with dealers and customers, direct feedback was incorporated to improve BigStuff’s products so as to continue to innovate in the aftermarket fuel injection industry.
In 2022, Ben purchased the BigStuff company from the Meaney family and has set forth on a mission to honor the heritage of the company while also growing its legacy with a new generation of advanced EFI powertrain management systems sold and supported throughout the racing community.

When updating my car from a Gen3 to the latest EFI system, I spoke with Ben about the Holley Dominator or the Gen4. In the end it was the wireless connectivity that Gen4 had that sealed the deal.
Ben was great when asking questions how to wire up sensors, when things didn’t work, firmware upgrades etc. He was able to remote in and help get the car running when I switched from C16 to Methanol. I flew Ben out when the car was getting dyno’d to have him help and make sure I wasn’t over looking things. I've been using Ben at BHP for over 6 years now. With the knowledge and skill that he has brought to my heads-up race program, we have countless wins and runners up, and we also brought home a championship. We started with BigStuff3 gen 3 and switched over to the new gen 4 system. (Which is an awesome system, by the way!) On two separate occasions, we showed up with a brand new, untested set up: new transmission, converter, and turbo. Within 3 runs, we were #2 qualifier and went to the final. We were building a new car, going from a N/A car to a blown setup, so this was very new to us. The new car is a 2005 Mustang with a 440 ci SBF and a ProCharger providing boost. We talked to John Meaney about a system to run the injection and ignition he said the BigStuff3 Gen4 is the one to use and that’s how we found Ben. On start up, we got him to come to the house as Covid shut down all the tracks he was very knowledgeable about the system and was ably to get the car running great. The car has only been out a couple times and with bad shocks in the rear and only pushing 30 lbs we ran a 4.51 at 160 mph. We are very happy with his work and with the car.
