One of the great benefits of the GEN4 ECU is the superfast connection speed using true ethernet connectivity. Many of our customers when they first experience the wireless connection cannot believe how easy it works.
This kit provides the following for using the GEN4 over WiFi:
1. Ultra fast Netgear multi-input router
2. Wiring harness for connecting your cars wiring to your ECU. This will work as a step down DC voltage converter for either 16VDC or 12VDC applications.
3. Ethernet connection cable from the router to the ECU
Worried about how a standard router will work in a racecar application? You don’t need to be as they are used in cars going under 6 seconds and 275mph in the 1/4 mile! If used in a racecar application we recommend wiring the power input to the router right off the battery disconnect switch. That way when the main power switch is on the the router will always be powered up and you will have an ultra fast connection to the GEN4 ECU when the ignition is turned on.
